What a way to start off the season and come out and have some fun and raise money for a good cause.  Register your team by calling Cheryl Jassak at 315-404-5159, or go to www.uticasoftball.com to download the registration form and mail or fax it to the ADA.  Come and enjoy this great event.   

Sign up the whole family, your business, co-workers, and friends to participate and join us for a day of fun. The registration fee for the event is $200.  Donations are tax deductible and it’s also a great way for the business to advertise.   

The tournament is a three pitch game.  This event is for Charity but we will give cash awards for the top three (3) teams, $250 for 1st place, and $175 for 2nd place and $125 for 3rd place as well as a trophy to the top three (3) teams.

Diabetes is a disease that affects the body’s ability to produce or respond properly to insulin, a hormone that allows blood sugar to enter the cells of the body and be used for energy.  A third of the 23.6 million people that have diabetes don’t know it. Untreated, diabetes can lead to complications like blindness, kidney failure, heart disease, stroke, foot or leg amputations and death. 

“By participating, volunteering or pledging money on behalf of the events like the Softball Tournament, people are directly affecting the course of diabetes research,” said Cheryl Jassak, Coordinator for the American Diabetes Association.
